Sweet little valentines

We had a very busy and fun Valentine's Day yesterday. I still view this holiday more of a Hallmark holiday... we usually don't go crazy with gifts or anything. I did get James a box of chocolate. And guess what I got in return? A new washer and dryer! Yipee!! It comes tomorrow, best Valentine's day EVER - ha!!

Cole has his tongue constantly out these days.

Gee I wonder how Cole got these heart stamps all over his head?

Nobody completely admitted to it, but I have a good idea.

Raggedy Ann

My mom brought over a Raggedy Ann doll for the girls to play with... apparently it was mine when I was little.

Emily immediately said, "LOOK Abby! We can scare the princesses on Halloween with this clown!"

Biking and gumballs

The prize?

A gumball machine valued at $9.99 from Target 4 years ago (when we first tried to get Austin to ride a bike).

The goal?

Whoever can ride a two wheeler first gets the gumball machine... and the 4 year old stale gumballs to go with it.

I should have known that a little friendly competition would help Austin ride his bike. Brilliant. Why didn't we do this sooner?

Maybe not exactly friendly... as the girls found out quickly they didn't have a chance. None of my pictures turned out but they weren't to thrilled about how the day ended. Although I will say I don't think it will take them 4 years. Maybe one?

FINALLY!!! Eight is better than never right? I am so excited about the prospect of bike riding with my eldest son!

Austin decided he has to charge for his gumballs so he can add to his supply.

100th day of school

Yesterday the girls celebrated their 100th day of kindergarten!

They came home on a total sugar HIGH. Holy cow.

Emily said she had marshmallows, chocolate chips, teddy grahams, m&ms, capri sun, pop-tarts, and popcorn. And they ate EVERY last bit.

They have both been doing so great in kinder. Abby is such the reader and Emily's handwriting has come so far since the first day. They absolutely love it. We are so proud of them.

Here's a silly song they do in school. Please excuse Emily singing in the shower in the background.

Then Abby put her own twist on it (and Emily is seriously going to town on her singing upstairs).

I always find it pretty funny when she names Cole after the dog (and Kiko, our dog who has been dead for several years now). Poor Cole.

Hope you all are staying warm. We are expected to have snow tonight and tonight and tomorrow morning!!
